(i) Identify opportunities and getting the first mover advantage (ആദ്യം നീങ്ങുന്നതിൻ്റെ മെച്ചം) :  Awareness of environment helps an enterprise to identify the opportunities prevailing in the market and they can make strategies to capitalise such opportunities at the earliest, e.g. Maruti Udyog became the leader in the small car market because it was the first, who recognised the need for small cars in the environment. അവസരങ്ങളെ ആദ്യം തിരിച്ചറിയുന്നത് അവയെ ആദ്യം ഉപയോഗപ്പെടുത്തുന്നതിന് ബിസിനസ്സിനെ സഹായിക്കുന്നു.   ഉദാഹരണം: ഇന്ത്യയിൽ ചെറിയ കാറുകളുടെ ആവശ്യകത ആദ്യം മനസ്സിലാക്കിയത് കൊണ്ടാണ്  മാരുതിക്ക് കാർ വിപണിയിൽ ഒന്നാം സ്ഥാനം നേടാനായത്

(ii) Identify threats and early warning signals ( ഭീഷണികളും അപകട സൂചനകളും മുൻകൂട്ടി തിരിച്ചറിയൽ ) : Environmental awareness helps an enterprise in identifying possible threats in future, so that the enterpirse can take timely measures to minimise the threats and its adverse effects, if any, e.g. when the new firms entered in the mid segment cars (threat), Maruti Udyog increased the production of its Esteem car. Increase in production enabled the company to make faster delivery. As a result, the company captured a substantial share of the market and became a leader in this segment. ബിസിനസ്സ് പരിതസ്ഥിതിയെ കുറിച്ചുള്ള അവബോധം  അപകട സൂചനകൾ ലഭിക്കുന്നതിനും ഭീഷണികളെ സമയത്ത് തിരിച്ചറിയുന്നതിനും മാനേജറെ സഹാായിക്കുന്നു. ഉദാ: ബഹുരാഷ്്ട്ര കമ്പനികൾ ഇന്ത്യയിലേക്ക് വരുന്നത് അറിഞ്ഞ മാരുതി        അവരുടെ ഉൽപ്പന്ന ഗുണനിലവാരം മെച്ചപ്പെടുത്താനും അതു വഴി ഉൽപാാദനം വർദ്ധിപ്പിക്കാനും തുടങ്ങി.

 (iii) Assist in planning and policy formulation ( ആസൂത്രണത്തിനും നയരൂപീകരണത്തിനും സഹായിക്കുന്നു) : Environment awareness helps a business unit to identify opportunities and threats in the market. These serve as a basis for planning future course of action and making policies for the same. ബിസിനസ് പരിതസ്ഥിതിയെ കുറിച്ചുള്ള അറിവ് ഭാവി പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങളും നയങ്ങളും തീരുമാനിക്കാൻ സഹായിക്കുന്നു.
(iv) Tapping useful resources (  A business environment is an open system which gets resources such as capital, labour, machines, materials, etc from the environment, converts them into goods and services desired by the customers and then supplies its output to the environment. Thus, a business firm depends on its external environment for tapping various resources and for the sale of its output. ബിസിനസ് പരിതസ്ഥിതിയെ കുറിച്ചുള്ള അറിവ് മൂലധനം, തൊഴിലാളികൾ, യന്തങ്ങൾ തുടങ്ങിയ വിഭവങ്ങളെ പ്രയോജനപ്രദമായ രീതിയിൽ ഉപയോഗിക്കാൻ സഹായിക്കുന്നു

(V) Coping With Rapid Changes ( അതിവേഗ മാറ്റങ്ങളുമായി പൊരുത്തപ്പെടാൻ സഹായിക്കുന്നു ) : Managers must understand and examine environment to deal with changes in business environment.

(vi) Helps in Improving Performance ( പ്രകടനം മെച്ചപ്പെടുത്താൻ സഹായിക്കുന്നു) : Continuous monitoring of environment helps the organisation  to improve their performance and to adopt suitable business practices. ബിസിനസ് പരിതസ്ഥിതിയെ കുറിച്ചുള്ള പഠനം അനുയോജ്യമായ നയങ്ങൾ സ്വീകരിക്കാനും പ്രകടനം മെച്ചപ്പെടുത്താനും സഹായിക്കും.
